Common FAQs
Q: What are your rates?
A: Wedding collections begin at $3750. I offer a few signature collections as a starting point, but no two weddings, or couples, are exactly alike. We’ll begin with the collection that best fits your celebration and customize from there to create something that feels beautifully aligned with your day.
Q: How long have you been a photographer?
A: I picked up my first camera my freshman year of college, and I fell in love with documenting moments from the undergrad experience with my friends. So much that mid semester I changed my major to photography. I graduated with my Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2013 and started freelancing in photography shortly after. So yes, we’re talking 10+ years in the photography field now, which still feels wild to say.
Q: Do you have insurance?
A: Yep. Let me know if your venue needs a certificate of insurance, I’m happy to provide that for them.
Q: Do I need a second photographer?
A: A second photographer isn’t always required, but it can be helpful depending on your wedding day. I typically recommend one if you have a larger guest count, are getting ready in separate locations, have a large venue, or want more moments captured from multiple angles.
I have personally photographed many weddings completely solo, and my couples have been happy with their final galleries. We’ll talk through your timeline, venue, and priorities to decide if it truly makes sense for your day.
Q: Do I need an engagement session?
A: That totally depends on your needs. You can use the photos for your save-the-dates, invitations, website registries, guest books, framed prints for your guest table, bar, and your house... and of course Facebook & Instagram! Plus, it's a way for you to get a little practice in front of the camera before your big day and it gives us an opportunity to get to know each other. :) Personally, I highly recommend it. It's also a really great way to add to your experience as an engaged couple. Make the most of it!
Q: How many Photos do we get?
A: On average, couples can expect about 50 to 75 edited images per hour of coverage. This can fluctuate slightly up or down depending on the flow of the day, but I promise the full essence of your day will be reflected in the photos you receive.
Q: When will I receive my wedding photos?
A: You can expect to receive your full wedding gallery within 6 to 8 weeks after your wedding day. During busier seasons, delivery may be closer to the 8-week mark, but I’ll always keep you updated along the way.
Q: what happens if you aren't able to make it to our big day?
A: In the super unlikely event that I am too ill, injured, or there's some other emergency, I have a list of colleagues that I can call on to replace me that have similar styles of photography.
Q: Do you offer any albums, prints, canvases, etc?
A: Yes, absolutely. I highly recommend printing your memories. I offer albums, prints, canvases, , and custom artwork so your photos can live beyond a screen. I’m happy to help you choose what makes the most sense for your home, your story, and your memories.
Q: How do I book you for my wedding day?
A: Fill out my inquiry form so I can learn more about your wedding day. From there we'll set up a consultation call to chat through your vision, choose the collection that fits best, and officially reserve your date with a signed contract and retainer. Then you’re officially booked, friend. :)
